Family Pictures

My mom and dad came to visit us on November 2nd and my dad took family pictures for us.  They turned out great!  Thanks, dad!

This is our favorite one.

After he took our pictures, dad took the boys to the park.  They had a great time!

Halloween

The kids had a great time on Halloween this year.  I took the kids trick or treating and Pete stayed home and handed out candy.  We usually do the opposite, but Pete wanted to have a little bit of fun with the kids who came to our house, so he dressed up as Lucky the Leprechaun.  The kids had a great time coming to our house and getting candy from Lucky!  Maycee was a little freaked out, but Lucky won her over, too!

We went trick or treating with our friends, the Reids, and the kids got tons of candy and had a great time going door to door with their buddies.  This year for Halloween, Brandon was an alien, he used a mask that he had made in his fifth grade class.  Kenyon was a Skeleton ninja, Shaylee was a ballerina princess, Jaron was a gorilla and Maycee was a butterfly.  It was a great night!

Rasmussen Farms

Pete took some pictures on his camera phone when we are at Rasmussen Farms in the Fruit Loop that I just got off the computer.  The pictures are of pumpkin bowling and of their Nursery Rhyme pumpkin display.

Raingutter Regata 2011

We had our Raingutter Regata at the end of October this year.  Right in the middle of all our Halloween festivities.  The boys each did most of the work on their own boats.  Kenyon made a mistake on his sail and so to cover it up we glittered the sail.  It turned out SO cute and was so original.  They both won a few races and did well.

Kenyon's is "Midnight" and Brandon's is "The Irish Settler"

Portland Nursery

For the last three years, we have been going to the Portland Nursery for their apple tasting festival.  It is seriously one of the best fall traditions we have.  At the nursery, they have countless amounts of apples and pears that you can taste test.  They also have face painting, color pages, and pumpkin painting.   They have popcorn and apple cider and the best thing about it is that it is all free.  The kids love it and it is a tradition we will be keeping.

I got some great pictures of my kids!

Sister Kim

This summer we got sister missionaries in our ward and we have really enjoyed getting to know them.  When the missionaries had their first transfers, Sister Kim replaced Sister Marks.  After she had been here for a few weeks, they came over for dinner at our house.  While she was looking through a photo book, she recognized a picture of my Grandma.  We figured out that my uncle Doug was the missionary who baptized her mom.  Her family has stayed in contact with him and his family and we had met a few times before when she was little.  It was such a fun little coincidence and we enjoyed having her in our ward.
