Maycee at 15 months

Here's a little update on my baby girl:  Maycee at fifteen months weighs 18 pounds (she had pink eye and had to go to the doctor, that's how I know her weight).  She loves to get into EVERYTHING!  As I work she is quickly undoing whatever I am trying to do.  While I cook, she unloads my cupboards, while I do my hair and makeup she unloads my drawers and jewelry, when I put something away, she gets it back out.  She does all of this with a smile on her face.  She is a very happy and busy little girl.  She started walking at thirteen months, she can say Dada, Hi, Mama and Dydy (byebye).  She is a very picky eater.  She has started rejecting lots of different foods.  Yea, for another picky eater!  Her hair is thin, but getting long and curly.  We are loving our little girl!  She is such a doll!

Shaylee's Birthday Party

Shaylee had a Lalaloopsy birthday party this year.  She loves the lalaloopsy dolls and so I thought it would be a fun theme for her party.  She invited some of her closest friends and they had a great time!  The party started out a little rough with no birthday girl since she and her daddy ran errands and got a little lost in Portland.  But, she did arrive FINALLY!  and the party began.  The girls played Just Dance, made their initials out of buttons, played Bingo and colored in little Lalaloopsy coloring books.  Shaylee had a great time and the party was a great success.

Easter

Easter was on April 8, this year.  We always start out Easter morning by going on a hunt for the Easter baskets that were hidden by the Easter bunny.  This year we had nine o'clock church, so it was a quick hunt and then into Easter clothes and off to church.  After church we enjoyed watching some DVD's about the Savior and his death and resurrection.  It was wonderful to focus on what Easter is all about and to teach our children the importance of Jesus and all He has done for us.

When Gina and Kirk got out of church they came over to our house for an Easter egg hunt and dinner.  We had such a wonderful time eating and visiting.  The kids had so much fun, they just love being with their cousins.

It was a wonderful Easter and even though I am way late blogging about it, I want to say how grateful I am to our Lord and Savior for all He has done for me and for my family.  I hope that as I go throughout my day to day life I can become better and try and be more like my Savior.

Easter- Dying Eggs

We died our eggs the night before Easter, April 7.  The kids love to dye eggs and always have such a fun time.  Jaron got really into it this year.  They do such a great job and the eggs were SO colorful.

Guess what I did for Spring Break?

Seven is Heaven!

Shaylee turned seven on April 6.  Her birthday, like always, was during Spring Break.  We decided to make it a fun day and went to the new visitors center at the Portland temple.  It's a very fun and interactive visitors center.  After that we went to lunch at taco bell and then headed to Kids Club for some crazy fun.  After that we went and visited the Easter bunny and then headed home for cake and ice cream.

Here are some things about my Shaylee at age seven:
  • Shaylee is my buddy, we have lots of fun together watching chick fliks, shopping, doing our nails and just being girls!
  • Shaylee can be the most helpful of my children when she is in the mood
  • Shaylee loves to write.  She is always making books and writing stories
  • Shaylee loves to draw.  If you come to our house to visit, you will most likely end up going home with a Shaylee original
  • Shaylee is very stubborn and definitely knows what she wants.
  • Shaylee loves strawberries and almost any fruit
  • Shaylee has the greatest belly laugh of all time.  It just makes me smile to hear her laugh.
  • Shaylee is usually very good with her little brother and sister.
  • Shaylee is very good at entertaining herself.  She will play with her Lalaloopsies, ponies, littlest pet shops, barbies and princesses forever.
  • Shaylee loves to play with her friends, she is very social
  • Shaylee loves to dance and is starting to get really good at ballet.
I just love my Shaylee!  She is so much fun and enjoy her fun, sweet personality.

Kissy, Kissy!

Why? Oh Why are we still here?

Shaylee was so good to stick with Jaron
