Tie dye 2013

We always tie dye tshirts while we are in Utah.  This year was no different we fit it in at the last possible moment and tie dyed on our last day, so I had to wrap my shirts up and put them in a bag and then rinse them out and wash them when we got home.  I took pictures of the kids in their shirts and sent them to my sisters so they could see how cute they turned out.  It was really hard to get a group shot as you can see.  These were the best of about twenty, but that's how it is when you have five young kids.

Maycee is quite the character in these pics.  Here she looks like she is going to fight someone.

The zoo

During the summer we went to the zoo twice.  We went with our friends the Crofts and the second time we went with the Reids.  We saw the bird show on both trips.  It is a favorite with the kids.  It is in the perfect spot to eat lunch and then enjoy the show.  On our second trip we were able to see the sea lion being fed and the trainer had her doing some tricks.  She was so cute and did everything the trainer asked.  We also got to see the penguins at feeding time.  Penguins are Jaron's favorite animal and he was in heaven. We enjoyed both of our trips.

Our Last Day

On our last day in Utah, we split up.  My mom, Cindy, Debbie and I decided to go to the new outlets on Traverse Mountain.  Pete, and my dad took the older kids and went to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point.  I have no pics of our shopping trip, but Pete took some pics at the museum.

I do have a funny story about the shopping trip.  After shopping for a few hours we decided to call it quits and go eat at Johnny Rockets.  It was super busy in there and it took them FOREVER to get our order, but it finally came and it was delish!  Right when we decided to head out to the car Maycee had a yucky diaper so I had to head go change it.  My mom  went out to the van to put Summer and Annalisa in the car... I have one door that once it is unlocked it doesn't tell the sensor that it is unlocked and it relocks all the doors.  Debbie, Cindy and I came out with Maycee and Jillian and all the doors, but the one was locked.  My mom couldn't find the keys so we were all trying to pile in the one door as it was pouring rain and I mean POURING rain!!!!!! We were soaked to the bone by the time we finally found the keys and got everyone in the van.  It is a pretty funny story right now, but not so funny at the time.

Pete sometimes went and did his own thing while we were in Utah and he has some pictures from his outings. He also went to Glenn Beck's Man in the Moon event while we were there and took Brandon with him.  Brandon loved it and it was a great bonding experience for the two of them.

Pete took  Brandon and his cousin Makenna to the Provo temple to do Baptisms for the dead.

Pete and I took Maycee to Taco Amigo while the other kids were at Grandmas/  This is their large fries!

Pete went to the temple with his sister Mary Ann, her husband Boyd, their son who was heading out on his mission the next day Aaron and his brother Paul and his wife Inger.  Amber and Elissa went shopping while they were in the temple.
