Jaron is eleven months old!

Tomorrow, Jaron turns eleven months old! I cannot believe that my baby will be one in one month! What a fast year this has been.

On Monday night at Family Home Evening. Pete told the kids to fold their arms for prayers and he proceeded to fold his arms. Jaron was facing him and saw him fold his arms so he copied him and took his little chubby dimpled arms and folded them! It was the cutest thing I have ever seen! We were all laughing and Jaron looks around and realizes he did something wonderful and just got the biggest grin on his face! I had one of those aha moments when I say to myself this is why I love to be a mom! It makes all the stress and hard work worth it just to see his little dimpled arms folded and a big grin on his face!

On Saturday March 22, 2008 Jaron got his first haircut. He did really well. He actually thought it was quite funny until Pete made him tilt his head down so he could get the nape of his neck. Then he fussed a bit, but other than that he did really well. He is such a good baby!

This picture is of Jaron eating the Ham off the bone after Easter dinner. Pete comes up with the funniest things! Jaron thought it was great and got a couple of pieces of meat off the bone.

Our Eggcellent Easter!

We had a wonderful , but very rainy Easter. We started our Easter celebration by dying Easter eggs on Saturday night. The kids had a wonderful time dying the eggs and decorating them with markers and stencils. The eggs turned out very cute.

On Sunday Pete didn't have his church meetings so he made us a wonderful breakfast. The kids found their Easter baskets which the Easter bunny hid. They spent the morning eating a lot of candy. We went to church and enjoyed hearing the talks and lessons on the Savior. After church my sister, Gina and her family came over for dinner. We had ham and potatoes it was wonderful. That is my favorite dinner. Yum! Yum! The kids had an Easter egg hunt before dinner. Tyler hid the eggs and then the little kids all went and found them.

It was a very fun Easter. We really enjoyed being together as a family.

ST. PADDY'S DAY

Since we have an Irish last name, we decided we needed to go all out for St. Patrick's Day! We started our morning out with green waffles! YUMMY! I got the idea from my friend Kirse who was watching my children overnight last St. Patrick's Day. She made them green waffles for breakfast and Brandon insisted that we had to have them for breakfast this year. They loved them! Then for dinner we had corned beef and cabbage. Pete was in heaven! He loves corned beef and cabbage and he never gets it since I hate it!

Pete loves St. Patrick's day. As you can tell by his hats and scarf. The scarf and pompom hat we bought in Chicago when we lived there. Chicago is all about St. Patrick's day. When we lived there we stood on the bridge and watched them turn the river green. That was a lot of fun to see. They also have a parade that we were able to see. Chicago is a fun place to spend St. Paddy's Day.

I think that we will keep the green waffles and corned beef and cabbage for every St. Paddy's Day. It was a lot of fun and the kids loved it!

Jarwin's A Queen!

Yep, that's right! According to his sister,"Jarwin's a queen". Shaylee, Jaron and I were all playing together on Thursday morning when Shaylee points to me and says, "Mommy is a pwincess ". Then pointing to herself, "Shaylee is a pwincess". Then she points to Jaron and says, "Jarwin is a queen!" I was laughing so hard I said "Jaron is what?" She looks at me very seriously and says very slowly "Jar-won is a queen"! I had to write this down for posterity. It was too funny! Especially since Pete dressed Jaron up in one of Shaylee's dresses the other day, too. Poor Jaron! Everyone is picking on him!

Our Little Basketball Player!

Brandon is playing basketball with his friend Ethan right now. They have two more games in the season. There team is not very good, but Brandon is having a lot of fun and that's what matters. He scored a basket in his game on Saturday and that was a lot of fun for him! He 's actually pretty good with making baskets, but he's not very aggressive about getting the ball. I think he will probably play again next year. He has really enjoyed it. Kenyon has already informed me that he wants to play next year as well.

Jaron's Ten Months Old!

As unbelievable as it is my baby is ten months old! I don't know how that happened so fast! I have enjoyed him so much it is kinda sad that he is getting so big. Here is a little bit about Jaron's personality at ten months. Jaron loves to crawl anywhere and everywhere. He gets stuck in all kinds of places. Under the excersaucer, in the cupboard, under the stool or chair, under the desk, and anywhere else he can possibly get to. He is a crawling maniac. He has the cutest crawl. He army crawls and grunts as he goes. He is very loud and you can definitely here him coming.
Jaron has two teeth on bottom that he got at five months old. And is just now getting his two front teeth plus one next to it. It looks like his two front teeth will have a gap between them. How cute! Hippo teeth as my friend calls them.
Jaron has a very sweet personality. He smiles all the time and loves to see anyone from his family walk in the room. Mom, Dad, brothers, sister any one of us will get his sweet and very big grin! He is starting to "talk" he says "Da Da Da Da" and every once in awhile he will throw in a "Ma Ma Ma Ma".
He has pulled himself up to his knees and twice he has gotten to his feet. He just learned to sit up from lying down or crawling. He thinks he is really cool when he does this!
He is a drool monster! He drools like crazy and his brothers and sister think it is very gross! I tell them that baby drool is not gross it is cute! They don't believe me!
Jaron has been such a joy and we are so grateful we have been blessed to have him in our family. He is loved by all of us and he has carved a big old place in all of our hearts. Even though I can't believe he is almost one year old I also can't imagine my life without this sweet little soul in my life.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

I had a wonderful birthday! I turned 32 on February 26, 2008. I can't believe that I am 32! I still feel like I'm in my twenties! I guess you never really feel older even as you get older. I'm just glad I'm healthy and active and I feel good. I just need to count my many blessings every day because I have many of them.

Pete and the kids were so wonderful and sweet to me on my birthday. The boys both sang me "Happy Birthday" or some variation of it about five times before they went to school! It was very fun! Shaylee wanted to get into the act and so she sang her own version of "Happy Birthday" with the cutest grin on her face!

I went shopping and out to lunch with my friend Karen while my other friend Nicole watched our kids. Thanks Karen and Nicole! I had a wonderful time. Then I went home and put my kiddos down for naps and quiet time while I talked on the phone to all four of my sisters, my brother called me later that night.

Then Pete and I went out to dinner while Morgan, our neighbor's daughter watched our kids. We went to Olive Garden. I LOVE Olive Garden. It is yummy! Then we came ,home and opened presents and had icecream cake with our kids. My mom and dad gave me a book about the story of my life that my mom had written for my birthday. It was wonderful and so much fun to read. I cried and cried. So many fabulous memories. I had a wonderful childhood and my life just gets better and better. As you can tell it was a wonderful day. Pete is very good at spoiling me on my birthday. I am very lucky to have such a wonderful family and friends who all remembered me on my birthday and helped to make it such a great day!
