Family Reunion

We went to the Summers' family reunion while we were in Utah at a park in Sandy.  It was great to see cousins and to watch my kids play with their cousins.

Shaylee, Summer and Annika  I did Shaylee's hair all fancy for the party and Summer and Annika wanted Aunt Steph to do their hair, too.  I wish I had taken a picture of the back of all three of their hair.  They looked SOOOO cute!

Playing at the park

We went to the park and met my cousin and her little boy there.  Maycee and Isaiah were born only three days apart and this was the first time they met.  It was really fun to see him and to see my cousin Lisa.

Mission Dinner

We got together with some of the people from Pete's mission and had a yummy dinner at Cracker Barrel. Pete really enjoyed reminiscing with his fellow Boston mission peeps!

Wheeler Farm!!!!!

We have never taken the kids to Wheeler Farm and I have heard great things about it, so we decided to go visit.  It was a pretty hot day, but we had a great time.  I think the favorite part were the ducks and geese.  We bought some food and the kids had a blast feeding them.  We also were able to see some horses, sheep, goats, and more.  After visiting the animals we were SO hot, so we got some ice cream bars and drinks.  We had a great time!

The Twenty Fourth

We had plans to spend the twenty fourth of July with Pete's mom, but she had a bad fall and ended up in the emergency room.  Her poor knee got really swollen up and she ended up in the hospital for a few days while they put leeches on her knee to get all the pressure out of it.  Luckily it worked and her knee ended up recovering from all the trauma.

So we ended up filling the day in entertaining ourselves.  We went and saw "Puss in Boots" which was a very cute movie and the kids loved it.  We ate at Magleby's one of our very favorite places to eat in Provo.  Then we went to the University Mall and Pete and the kids played at the play area while I shopped for a bit.  They have a great play area and the kids entertained themselves there for quite awhile.  After that we went and visited Pete's mom in her hospital room and saw the lovely leeches on her knee.  After visiting for awhile we headed back home to my mom's and dad's.  It is not how we planned on spending the day, but it ended up being a good day.

I adore this gorgeous picture of Maycee

Music and the Spoken Word

My dad and Pete took the two older boys to Music and the Spoken Word on Sunday morning.  They had never been before and we thought they would enjoy it.  They loved it and I was so glad they were able to go.  It is such a special performance to see live.  I remember going with my Grandma when I visited her house in the summer.

The Pizza Factory

That night we went to the Pizza Factory with Pete's sister Mary Anne, her kids and his brother Paul and his family.  This was Mary Anne's last night in Utah.  We were so happy that we could spend time with her this summer.  It has been a long time since we were able to do that.  We had a great time and it was such a yummy meal with great company.
