Tie Dye

I thought it would be fun for the cousins to Tie Dye t-shirts, so on Friday the day Pete was coming back to Utah, we spent the morning tie dying t-shirts with the kids.  It was a fun, but crazy activity to do with so many little kids.  The kids loved it though and I think I will make this an annual tradition.

Air and Space Museum Take 2

Okay, so we finally made it back to the Air and Space Museum and this time the children's play area was open!  Yea!  Since we had already looked at all the big airplanes we headed straight to the play area and the kids went to town!  Let me tell you that if you are ever in the Layton area, go to this museum.  It is free and it is fantastic!  My kids could have stayed there for hours.  We had to drag Kenyon out of there and the rest of the trip he was begging to go back.  I promised him we would go back the next time we went to Grandma's.  They have computer games, dress up costumes, balls, a drawing area, simulators of different things, a cockpit and so much more.  I was so impressed.  This was such a great day and it didn't cost a cent!  Gotta love that!

Oh!  That's heavy!

Relaxing!

Going to Utah is just so much fun and relaxing for me.  I help my mom out and of course take care of my kids, but I am not in charge of the house, so it is a nice break for me.  We do a lot, but we also have days where we just hang out and enjoy each others company.  I didn't take many pictures on these days, but I do have some that Brandon.  Some of the things we did were, watch movies, play Wii, talk on the front porch, make hair accessories, run around the house and through the house (my kids, not me!!!) and eat yummy food.  The best thing about my parents' house is that it is very kid friendly.  My parents are all about their grandkids and I just love that.

Some other things we did that I don't have pictures of are going to Park City shopping, girls night out with my sisters at the mall, eating Menchi's, and going to TARGET of course.  I just love my sisters and I am so glad that we are all such great friends.

These are random pictures I found on the camera that were taken by Brandon

Bear Lake

On Saturday June 25th, we headed to Bear Lake for the day.  We were slow getting going that morning since Shaylee had no tennis shoes, so we had to go buy her some at Kohls.   After our little detour we headed to Logan to see the temple.  It is a gorgeous temple and it was the first time my kids have seen it.

After our brief stop in Logan we headed to Bear Lake.  When we got out of Logan Canyon we found a gorgeous rest stop to eat our lunch out.  The view was AMAZING!!!  We went on a little hike around that area and then loaded back into the cars and headed to the lake.  Once we got to the lake, the kids got into their swim suits and they had a great time playing in the water and the little bit of sand that was there.  Because the Spring was so wet there wasn't much beach for the kids, but they just made do with what there was and it didn't even phase them.  They had a blast!

This was the view from our lunch stop.  Gorgeous!

Hey!  Take a picture of ME!!!

We then went and got a yummy and shake and headed back home.  Going home we went through Evanston Wyoming, instead of Logan.  We ate dinner at the McDonalds in Evanston which was quite the adventure.  Jaron had a belly ache and finally after going into the bathroom three times with him,  he threw up all over me in the middle of the restaurant!  YUCK!!!  I cleaned him and myself up and then we headed home.  I was so grateful he didn't throw up again, but I couldn't enjoy the rest of the drive because I was so worried about him throwing up in my parents' car.  Despite the ending to the trip it was such a great day!

MMMM... MMMMM..Good

Maycee had her first taste of solid food on June 25th.  She didn't get a lot in her belly and she wasn't sure how much she liked it, but it was time to have her give it a try.

Mmm, I like that bib!

What is that?!

Not sure about this mom!

Slip Slidin' Away!

So, something very sad happened to this post... I had it completely done...it took me an hour.  Then I realized I had NO pictures of Brandon on it.  Not sure how that happened, but when I went to add four more pictures with B in them, I lost the ENTIRE post!  Man that was disheartening!
Anyway, with that story told, I had to get it off my chest... Here is the post!

After spending the morning in downtown Salt Lake, we came home and decided to let the kids play in the water in the back yard.  My mom does a water park every summer in her back yard for the kids and my kids love it!  She sets up a baby pool, has sprinklers going, has a hose going down the slide and this year she added a big slip 'n' slide to the mix.  Jaron loved the slip 'n' slide!  He was so good at it and could really fly down the slide.  It was so cute to watch him, he just loved it!  The kids had such a great time and played for hours in the water. I had fun chatting with my mom and sisters, Cindy and Debbie, and enjoyed the sunshine and the sound of the kids all having a great time.

Love the bum shot!!!!
Jump for joy!
Look at me!  I'm so cute!
