Bear Lake

On Saturday June 25th, we headed to Bear Lake for the day.  We were slow getting going that morning since Shaylee had no tennis shoes, so we had to go buy her some at Kohls.   After our little detour we headed to Logan to see the temple.  It is a gorgeous temple and it was the first time my kids have seen it.

After our brief stop in Logan we headed to Bear Lake.  When we got out of Logan Canyon we found a gorgeous rest stop to eat our lunch out.  The view was AMAZING!!!  We went on a little hike around that area and then loaded back into the cars and headed to the lake.  Once we got to the lake, the kids got into their swim suits and they had a great time playing in the water and the little bit of sand that was there.  Because the Spring was so wet there wasn't much beach for the kids, but they just made do with what there was and it didn't even phase them.  They had a blast!

This was the view from our lunch stop.  Gorgeous!

Hey!  Take a picture of ME!!!

We then went and got a yummy and shake and headed back home.  Going home we went through Evanston Wyoming, instead of Logan.  We ate dinner at the McDonalds in Evanston which was quite the adventure.  Jaron had a belly ache and finally after going into the bathroom three times with him,  he threw up all over me in the middle of the restaurant!  YUCK!!!  I cleaned him and myself up and then we headed home.  I was so grateful he didn't throw up again, but I couldn't enjoy the rest of the drive because I was so worried about him throwing up in my parents' car.  Despite the ending to the trip it was such a great day!

MMMM... MMMMM..Good

Maycee had her first taste of solid food on June 25th.  She didn't get a lot in her belly and she wasn't sure how much she liked it, but it was time to have her give it a try.

Mmm, I like that bib!

What is that?!

Not sure about this mom!

Slip Slidin' Away!

So, something very sad happened to this post... I had it completely done...it took me an hour.  Then I realized I had NO pictures of Brandon on it.  Not sure how that happened, but when I went to add four more pictures with B in them, I lost the ENTIRE post!  Man that was disheartening!
Anyway, with that story told, I had to get it off my chest... Here is the post!

After spending the morning in downtown Salt Lake, we came home and decided to let the kids play in the water in the back yard.  My mom does a water park every summer in her back yard for the kids and my kids love it!  She sets up a baby pool, has sprinklers going, has a hose going down the slide and this year she added a big slip 'n' slide to the mix.  Jaron loved the slip 'n' slide!  He was so good at it and could really fly down the slide.  It was so cute to watch him, he just loved it!  The kids had such a great time and played for hours in the water. I had fun chatting with my mom and sisters, Cindy and Debbie, and enjoyed the sunshine and the sound of the kids all having a great time.

Love the bum shot!!!!
Jump for joy!
Look at me!  I'm so cute!

Children's Museum

On June 23rd, we headed to the Church History Museum's children area.  The exhibit they had going was on the Book of Mormon and they had all kinds of fun activities for the kids to do.  They had a ship the kids could fish on.  Big blocks to build their own buildings.  A kitchen area, with chickens sitting in baskets laying eggs.  An area the kids could dress up and dance around watching Latino dancers on a screen and many other little games and activities.  The little kids loved it, Brandon and Kenyon had fun, but got bored after awhile, so my mom took them to look at other areas of the museum.  Afterwards, we ate at the mall food court and I finally got to try the Red Iguana.  It was yummy, but I think I like Cafe Rio better.  YUM!!!!!!

Visiting Grandma!

So on Tuesday, June 21st, mom and I were watching Cindy's kids while she had a class she had attend.  We decided to take a lunch to Grandma's house and visit her with all the kids.  We had a great time being at Grandma's and chatting.  The kids loved playing with her marble track, which is THE favorite toy at her house.  I used to play with it when I was little.  She has had that toy forever and when we go there that is all my kids want to play with.  I was so glad to have that time with Grandma.  It was such a fun afternoon!

Hill Air and Space Museum Take 1

On Monday, June 20th, we decided to go the Hill Air and Space Museum in Clearfield.  It is a free museum with lots of big air planes and a great children's play area.  When we got there we toured the planes outside and then went  inside to see the planes in there and go to the children's play area.  When we got in they told us that the play area was closed.  So, we decided to go to the gift shop and then come back another day.  I let each of the kids choose something for $3 at the store.  Shaylee and Jaron each got a little plane, Brandon got a water bottle, Maycee got a cut pink camo binky and I can't remember what Kenyon got.  I'll have to ask him!

The Hair Cut!

Shaylee had been wanting to get her hair cut into a cute A line bob, but I wouldn't let her do it until she got her pictures taken for her ballet recital.  After talking to my sister, we decided it would be fun for Shaylee and Annika to get their hair cut together when we came to Utah.  So, on Saturday, Cindy and I took our little girls to Dollar Cuts and got their hair cut.  They had fun and Cindy and I did, too!  We also went out and got them a slushy and we did a little shopping.  I just love that Shaylee and Annika get along so well.  It is so much fun!
