Give me a bob!

Maycee got a bob!  She got the cutest hair cut and she loved it.  She kept putting her hand back and touching it.  I have the best hair dresser.  She does such a good job and she is so good with the girls.

What a doll!

So cute!  She loved touching it.

I got my hair cut, too!

Summer at the Columbia River

My kids love to swim and play in the Columbia river during the summertime.  We went a lot during the summer this year.  It was fun, but also very stressful as I constantly count kids to make sure no one has drowned or disappeared somewhere.  We like to go with friends so the kids can play with other friends and so that I can enjoy visiting with my friends.  It is enjoyable to sit in the sun and sand and be near the water.  The only thing I don't like about going there is getting to the river.  It is a bit of a walk which is hard with a two year old and lots of stuff.  Towels, tubes, food, kick boards, chairs, sand toys... it can be quite the trek with all this stuff loading us down.

She covered herself in sand!

This is what Maycee like to do while we were at the river.  Play in the sand!

We love to go to the river with these guys!  Fun for all!

Summer Mish Mash

These are just some random photos that didn't need their own page, but wanted to include.

All five of my babies slept in the same crib.  Little Miss Maycee started climbing out of it this summer, so it was time to say bye bye to our crib and I wanted a picture with all my kids in the crib.  So sweet!
My babies in their crib!

Shaylee FINALLY lost her two front teeth.  She was very happy!

While I was in Utah I made these yummy Boston Cream Pie cupcakes.  They were so good!

Seattle Baby!

On July 24th we headed up to Seattle for the day to see the Indians play the Mariners.  When we first got there we were able to have this Indian pitcher sign the kids balls, hats, papers etc. and then get a picture with him.  We were kind of high, but we had a good view of the field.  It was a great game we even saw Michael Borne hit a grand slam!  It was so exciting!  The kids LOVED it and were so into watching the baseball the rest of the season after seeing this exciting game in person.  We ate yummy garlic fries and had hot dogs and soda.  All the things a person has to eat while watching a baseball game.  We can't wait to go and see them again next year.

After watching the game we were going to go play in the international fountain, but it was closed for cleaning, so instead we went and checked out the Seattle science center.  It was fun museum that had ocean creatures the kids could touch and a butterfly exhibit where butterflies fly all over the place and some space crafts the kids could hang out in.  Outside the science center had some fun water toys to interact with.  Like huge water guns, a water ball and hamster wheel thing that churned the water.

We then decided to head up to Queen Anne Hill and see all the beautiful mansions up there and check out the gorgeous view.  It was a beautiful area with some very fun and unique houses.

Tie dye 2013

We always tie dye tshirts while we are in Utah.  This year was no different we fit it in at the last possible moment and tie dyed on our last day, so I had to wrap my shirts up and put them in a bag and then rinse them out and wash them when we got home.  I took pictures of the kids in their shirts and sent them to my sisters so they could see how cute they turned out.  It was really hard to get a group shot as you can see.  These were the best of about twenty, but that's how it is when you have five young kids.

Maycee is quite the character in these pics.  Here she looks like she is going to fight someone.

Counting fingers?

Examining her nails?

Doing a little dance?

My poser

I noticed he likes to pose with hands on hips

Who knows!  She makes the craziest faces!

Love the hand on hip action

He thinks he's too old for stuff like this.  Too bad I'm his mom!  HEE!  HEE!  HEE!
