Sledding

On January 16th, Martin Luther King Day we decided to go sledding on Mt. Hood.  We went with our friends the Davies.  We started the morning out by eating a free breakfast at Ikea.  Did you know that every monday morning you can eat free at Ikea?  Then we headed up.  We stopped on our way up at a famous Donut shop in Sandy called Joe's Donut Shop. They were soooo good! Yum!

The roads were a little dicey getting up there, but we finally made it to the Sno Park and got all bundled up in our snow gear.  We headed for the hills. I only stayed out with Maycee for about 30 minutes and then I took her back to the car to defrost.  She and I hung out there while every one else sledded.  We were there for a couple of hours and then decided to go home.  We put our chains on going home because it had been snowing the whole time we were on the mountain and we were worried about slick roads.  The roads were pretty bad, but we made it home after a very slow and white knuckled ride home.  Pete is a great driver, so we were in good hands, but it was a little crazy at times.  Every came home happy, exhausted and ready for bed.

The big boys had already headed for the hills.

Her eyelashes are so long that snow was getting caught in them!

Jaron enjoyed this much more than he did when we came two years ago!
