Seattle in August!

On August 22nd, we decided to head to Seattle to see the Indians play the Mariners.  It was so much fun!  We love watching baseball games together as a family and eating the yummy garlic fries that are so famous at Safeco field.   This is one of our favorite summer traditions.  I love that we live close enough to a major league team, so we can go see a game every summer.  Baseball is one of Pete's all time loves and I have really caught the fever as have our kids.  The game wasn't super exciting and Cleveland lost, but we still had a great time!

Fountain and the Needle!

After going to the game, we decided to head to the International fountain in downtown Seattle.  We had been to Seattle countless times, but I had never heard of this fountain.  My sister went to Seattle with her family earlier in the summer and told me about it.  She also suggested we bring our swimsuits since the kids would get super wet.  The fountain is choreographed with music and it is really beautiful.    The kids had a great time, but were a little bit cold.  It was kind of a cool game, which was great for the game, but not so great for playing in the fountain.  This is something we will be doing again.
