Happy Birthday My Big Two Year Old!!!!

Happy Birthday, Jaron! I can't believe my angel baby is two! Where did the time go?! Here are a few things Jaron does at two! Jaron has started saying a few more words! He says, Ma, Da, Tatu, Mine, shoe, Peeps (please), no, yeah, ball (this is his favorite word), go, and a few more. He has started taking off with his talking lately. He LOVES balls! Any kind of balls. He loves to watch basketball on TV. He loves to wrestle with his dad and brothers. He likes to play FUMBLE! He is our little athlete and our rough and tumble boy! He is also very cuddly and loves to snuggle with his mommy and daddy. He loves his thumb and his blanky and doggy. He has been such a joy to have in our family. He is such an easy little guy, he has been my angel since the day he was born! I love you sweet Jaron baby!
What a cute angel baby!

Hoppity Easter!

For Easter this year, on Saturday we dyed Easter eggs. It was Jaron's first year dying the eggs and he LOVED it! He grinned and grinned as he watched it soak in the dye. Then he would take it out and plop it in again. He had one egg casualty that ended up cracked and on the floor, but other than that he did a great job. The other kids enjoyed dying their eggs, too. It is a favorite tradition for our family.

On Sunday before church the kids had to find where the Easter bunny hid their baskets the night before. Everyone found their pretty quickly except for Brandon. The Easter bunny was pretty tricky with where he hid Brandon's basket. Finally with dad's help he found it on the coat hanging rack underneath his winter coat. I think maybe the Easter bunny was a little too creative with Brandon's!

After that we went to church and enjoyed the Easter service.

After church the kids had a good time enjoying their Easter candy and Pete and I took a nap. Then we headed out to St. Helens and had a wonderful Easter dinner with my sister and her family. Before the dinner the kids went on an Easter egg hunt around the house. We figure it's been about five years of Easter egg hunting in the house since the weather is always so crappy on Easter. After dinner, my niece Shannon gave a wonderful Easter lesson that she had made in Activity days. (we may be doing that in our activity days next year!)

It was a wonderful Easter and I hope that my children are learning the importance of Easter. It's not about the bunny or the baskets, but about the Saviour and His sacrifice, so that we can be resurrected and live again.

Shaylee's Birthday Celebrations!

On April 6th, Shaylee turned four years old. I always try to make the kids birthdays extra special for them. So, Shay started her day with her favorite breakfast of pancakes. YUM!
The weather was absolutely gorgeous on her birthday, so we invited her friends, Hannah and Rachel to come have a picnic lunch at the park with us. The kids were all so excited to be outside at the park after a cold winter, that more sliding and swinging was going on then eating!!! They loved every minute of it.

Then Shaylee spent the afternoon at Hannah's house playing. That evening we let her choose were to go to dinner. She chose..... (drum roll).... BIG SURPRISE.... McDonald's with the playland. I was so excited about that because I LOVE MCD's (said with dripping sarcasm)! Then we came home and had Pinkalicious cupcakes and icecream and opened presents.

On April 10th, Shaylee had her first birthday party. It was a Barbie Princess party. They had a great time coloring, making princess wands, playing hot potato and duck, duck goose. Then they went on a treasure hunt and found chocolate eggs along the way to their final prize..... their goodie bags. The kids loved the treasure hunt. I was surprised with how smoothly it went with three and four year olds. Luckily we had Brandon, Kenyon and our neighbor Brooklyn to help. They did a great job. After the treasure hunt we had cake, icecream and then opened presents. Shaylee had a great time.

I think it was a very fun and successful fourth birthday for our little girl.

Spring break!

Our Spring break was the week of March 30- April 3. I know, I know!!!! I am way late with this post and yes WAY behind on my blogging! It's called being the mother of four kids. :)

We had a very relaxed and easy going Spring Break. Our big plans were to get our garden going, but of course because of where we live, it rained! So, we are still working on the garden thing.

After four days of not doing much I decided to take the kids to the Children's Museum on Thursday. We met our friends there and the kids had a blast! Too bad it wasn't so fun for mom. If you have ever been there it is a mass of activity areas all in different places and of course Jaron and Shay decided that they could never be in the same place at the same time. So, I would have Brandon watch Jaron while I ran to check on Shaylee then back to Jaron, then Shay and so it went for an hour and a half until I said ENOUGH! We then headed to the water area which is the only closed area that will contain them and I sat on the bench (finally!) while they enjoyed the water! No need to go running that night. I got my exercise at the Children's museum, thanks!

But it was worth all the back and forth because of how much fun the kids had. They loved every minute of it! It was a fun way to end our Spring break.

Thanks Ralina for the use of your camera since I am so lame and forgot mine!!!!!!!

When Mom's on the Computer.....

The Baby Will Play!

A few days ago while I was on the computer, Jaron decided to dump out all of the Golden Grahams all over the table! And I mean, ALL of the Golden Grahams from an almost full box! When I came in he had the box upside down and was shaking for all he was worth with a HUGE grin on his face! I was not happy, but then saw the humor in it, so I had to grab my camera.

Oh no! Caught red handed!!!

Happy Birthday to my Shaylee Girl!!!

Shaylee turns four years old today! I can't believe my little girl is four already. Where did the time go?! Shaylee is such a joy and I thank my Heavenly Father every day for bringing her sweet spirit into my life!

Here are some facts about Shaylee at age four!

She is all girl! She loves her "Loving Family Dollhouse" and will play with it for hours at a time. She also loves Barbies, My Little Ponies, and Princess Polly Pockets. She loves to dress up in her princess dress ups and like her mom she LOVES clothes!

But, a girly girl with three brothers, must also know how to be aggressive. She plays ball with the boys and can wrestle with the best of them! Luckily her brothers are more than willing to play with her and her dollhouse and enjoy watching her Barbie movies with her.

Happy Birthday, my sweet baby girl! I love you!

Oh no! The dreaded word!

On Monday night, March 30th, Jaron and Shaylee were in the tub playing together. Shaylee had two turtle toys that Jaron wanted and he kept trying to steal from her. She finally had to let go of them when I washed her hair. Jaron dived for them and then grabbed three other toys and hugged them all to his chest and said, "MY!". He hasn't said a new word in months and so I looked at him shocked and said, "What did you say?" He's goes, "My!" I'm thinking oh no! It's the dreaded nursery word! I said, "Did you say 'Mine'?" He grins and nods his head. Just dandy! That's my least favorite word of all. But, of course I laughed because he is just so cute!!!!!

Just look at that face!
